If you are totally unable to breathe through your nose we recommend not applying the Mouth Strips during that period, until the blockage passes.
If for whatever reason you are unable to breathe through your nose at night and have your mouth taped dont worry! Our bodies are designed to wake us up in which case. HUSH's Mouth Strips are also porous and breathable, making it perfect to breathe through the tape itself should you need to.

To keep the airway open, the tongue should ideally rest against the roof of the mouth. When breathing through the mouth, the tongue tends to fall to the floor of the mouth and can slide back into the throat. HUSH Mouth Strips help keep the tongue in the proper position if this is an issue for you. For those who use a CPAP machine, it is recommended to use HUSH Mouth Strips in conjunction with a nasal mask.
